Gary Y. Chen, M.D is the founder & director of COMSI (California Orthopedic and Microsurgery Institute) is specialties in Fracture/Trauma Hand & Micro Surgery Peripheral Nerve Surgery Shoulder & Elbow Surgery. Dr. Gary Chen is one of the prominent doctors in Los Angeles, he received his medical degree from Sun Yat-Sen University of Medical Science in Guangzhou, China, and completed his Orthopedic surgery residency, Plastic and Hand micro-surgery specialty training in China. Dr. Chen served his surgical internship at Brown University, an Orthopedic residency at Los Angeles County Hospital, Orthopedic trauma fellowship at the University of Louisville, Hand micro-surgery fellowship at both Kleinert Hand Center and Curtis National Hand Center, was a microsurgery instructor at Curtis National Hand Center (Johns Hopkins University). He is currently the medical director of Orthopedic Surgery Program at California Medical Center and Assistant Clinical Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at UCLA.
